major rotf spoilers
Optimus Prime returns in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Prime fights the massive Decepticon Demolishor as he smashes through a bridge and fights Megatron (who punches him in the face), Starscream (who kicks him) and Blackout (who stabs him with one of his blades). He punches Megatron in the face, as well as Megatron tackling and slaming him onto the ground. To fight the Fallen Optimus uses parts from Jetfire to upgrade himself. Optimus successfully defeats The Fallen by stabbing him in the head with a spike
Megatron returns for the sequel film, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Megatron is revived by the Scalpel and the Constructicons with an Allspark shard and now takes on the form of a Cybertronian tank, while retaining his jet mode. He then flies to the Nemesis, the Fallen's ship, and has a tense moment with Starscream. He then talks to the Fallen and discovers that Sam is the key for providing energon. While getting away from Alice, Sam, Mikeala and Leo get picked up by Blackout and get dropped into an abandoned factory where Megatron meets them. Pinning down Sam, Megatron orders Scalpel to remove energon information from Sam's brain, but then Scalpel is quickly killed by Optimus Prime. Megatron and Prime fight outside and Starscream and Blackout join in. Once the Fallen is defeated, Megatron returns to the wreckage of the Nemesis along with his surviving troops and activates the remaining protoforms on board.
The Fallen arrived on earth thousands of years ago. In the present day, he talks to Megatron and reveals that the Allspark's power is flowing through Sam and that he is the key to finding another source of energon. Once freed, the Fallen arrives in Egypt and commands Megatron to find Sam. Eventually, he teleports to Sam and takes the Matrix from him and teleports to the Star Harvester. Devastator uses his turbine mouth to suck away the bricks of the pyramid, revealing the Star Harvester so The Fallen can power it up. Just as he powers the machine up, he is defeated by Optimus Prime.
Wheelie is a Decepticon spy sent to spy on Sam Witwicky. He follows Sam's girlfriend Mikaela Banes when Sam gives her an Allspark fragment for safekeeping. Trapped in a mouse trap when trying to steal the fragment from a safe, Mikaela discovers and captures him. She soon talks him into working for her. Wheelie then tells Mikaela about the Decepticons' plans and his woes of working for them. Wheelie soon later grows a friendship with Mikaela and helps Sam translate the language of the Primes by leading them to Jetfire. He eventually grows courage later on and faces his fears. He also becomes a bit of a pet to Mikaela and refers to her as "Warrior Goddess" and sees her like a big sister. He also becomes an Autobot when he asks Jetfire because he can only defect if he has a Decepticon's permission even if he/she is a former Decepticon.
Jetfire is found by Sam and Simmons. As Sam reactivates him with an Allspark fragment, waking him up from his stasis. He is seen complaining to himself as he walks through an Aircraft Boneyard. Jetfire uses a Space Bridge to teleport Sam and friends to Egypt. He is later attacked and badly wounded by Scorponok. After being fatally wounded he rips out his spark killing himself in order to let Optimus use his parts in order to defeat The Fallen.
Devastator is formed by several of the Constructicons in Egypt who are taken into a merge by Scavenger. He has only one line in the film - shouting his own name. Devastator climbs a pyramid while shooting grappling hooks out of his right arm. He uncovers the Fallen's sun destroying weapon and then attacks the Autobots. Mudflap is sucked into Devastator's mouth, holding on just out of reach of the grinding gears. Although eaten Mudflap breaks out of Devastator's body. Devastator is taken broken into pieces by an experimental ship-mounted rail gun called in for targeting by former Sector 7 agent Simmons.
